Between the harmonious vibration of the Portuguese guitar and the charm of the voice of some of the great names of Fado, Casa da Mariquinhas opened its doors in 1968 to become the oldest Fado House in the region.
It was Heitor Gil de Vilhena, actor and fado singer, who thought of the smallest details that distinguish this space. Located in the heart of Porto, it currently belongs to the son of a Fado singer who used to perform here frequently.
The traditional Portuguese gastronomy, allied to the welcoming environment of the space, guarantees the complicity and the sharing of emotions between the Fado singers and the public. Among traditional songs, folklore and the typical marches in this House you can find the best Fado sung in Porto.
